私は受験の都合でたまたま名古屋で御三家といわれるお嬢様学校に通っていたのですが、特に高校は県下の女子進学率で一番の進学校だったこともあり、地元エリート家系の女の子が周囲にたくさんいました。もちろん、そうでない子も多数います。（私自身、高校の中では貧乏なほうで成績も落ちこぼれでした・・・残念・・・。）

その中で「本当に良いお嬢様」は、生まれた瞬間から血筋や資産を受け継ぐ者として重い使命を背負わされ、厳しいしつけや茶道華道ほか無数の習い事、学業でも優等生でいなければならない義務感・・・などに縛られて、もがきながら育ってきた子がとても多く、とても楽して生きてきたとは思えぬ世界でした。

その苦労を知らずにお金持ちというだけで悪く言う人がいて、たまに可哀想になることがあります。

だから、いわゆる「成金のお嬢様」といわれる子が

・ 遊ぶお金や時間を自由にもらえる
・ プライドが高く、嫉妬深く、自慢ばかりする

ようなイメージに対し、「本当に良いお嬢様」は、

・ 厳しい環境で育ってきて、控えめで節制して暮らす
・ 余裕があるから自慢する必要が無く、他人を妬まない
・ たくさん学んで身に付けた能力が高いから人を蹴落とす必要がない
・ むしろ相手を尊重してすごく親切に接する人間性

という模範的な性格を感じます。
